Have You Even Heard Of Vitamin C Serums?

We all know that Vitamin C is good for the body. Doctors recommend we get an adequate amount of Vitamin C for our overall health and immune system. But did you know that vitamin c is also good for skin care 🤩? Because honestly I did not haha. But when you use one of the best Vitamin C serum, you can actually provide your skin with much-needed nutrients. It has been proven (scientific and by myself) that Vitamin C serums will help you get healthy glowing skin and improve the overall texture. I mean, your skin could be deprived from Vitamin C right now and you might not even know it.

What’s the Hype?

So if you haven’t really heard about serums, Vitamin C or Hydraulic Acid, then no worries. I only started hearing about these things a year ago when I got into Korean beauty skincare and then went overboard and murdered my skin with too many products. I can talk about that later.

A serum is a more concentrated product when compared to a moisturizer or toner. Specifically Vitamin C serum, considered an ascorbic acid, is an antioxidant that helps even out skin tone, brighten and helps build collagen. So many good things right?! The Timeless 20% Vitamin C serum provides nourishment to your skin helping you to look replenished. It’s always good to mention that Vitamin C serums do not dry out your skin or burn it away. Just think of this serum as an anti-aging product that helps create the appearance of flawless skin. Timeless has some of the best Vitamin serums because of ingredients, made in the USA and are Cruelty-Free. Here are some specifics for my label reading peeps.

Ingredients:

20% VITAMIN C + E FERULIC ACID SERUM:Water, Ethoxydiglycol, L-Ascorbic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Alpha Tocopherol, Polysorbate 80, Panthenol, Ferulic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Benzylalcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid.

  • Non-greasy
  • Dries fast and clear
  • Natural and paraben free
  • Cruelty free
  • More actives, less chemicals
  • No color dye added
  • No fragrance added
  • Made in the USA

How To Use And Apply Serums

When you use a serum in your skincare routine, you need to use it in a specific place within your routine. Here is the overall golden rule; oil cleanser, face wash (water based), toner, serums, moisturizer and lastly, sunscreen. Yes I know not everyone uses sunscreen– BUT YOU SHOULD. Now that you know where serums go within your skincare routine, time to review if you have been using them correctly.

When you use the Timeless Vitamin C serum, you apply two to three drops either on your face or your palm. After, you gently rub the serum all over your face gently pat onto your skin for fast absorption. The Vitamin C serum will quickly disappear into your skin leaving it moisturized and fresh. Also great to know Vitamin C serum dries fast, clear and is non-greasy so don’t worry about looking or feeling cakey.

Why Does Vitamin C serum Work?

Vitamin C is an ascorbic acid that penetrates the skin and helps stimulate collagen growth. When your skin creates collagen, it’s constantly creating new skin cells– giving the brightening youthful effect. We all know collagen is what makes your skin elastic look plum and full and Vitamin C helps jumpstart the cell growth. The reason why serums work so well is because they are extremely concentrated and the ingredients immediately go into effect. The normal rule of thumb is to use a Vitamin C morning and night unless you have any breakouts or reactions. Of course, it gets tricky when you start implementing different serums but we will leave that for another post😊.

Serums are an affordable and easy product to implement into your regular skin care routine for long term effects. Just think, over a short period of time, you will begin to see a difference in the texture and appearance of your skin. And if you have not tried a Vitamin C serum before, I highly recommend you do! I truly think it will be your new holy grail product for healthy glowing skin!

XO Andie

It totally makes sense. When you hear about scurvy, many of the warning signs are bruises and blisters and scurvy is caused by depleted vitamin c source. This sounds like a great serum to use.

Sounds like a great product! My number one concern whenever I buy serums is the greasy part. I hate buying a serum that its greasy and messy. I like that this one is not greasy and it’s paraben free and cruelty free. Thanks for sharing!

Oh I completely understand specially since I have oily-combo skin. I do not need a greasy feeling product.

Two things I look for -non greasy and non paraben. This product sounds great, I am adding it to my list.
