Pumpkin Nights 🎃

What a better way to end your October with a pumpkin filled event and tons of IG worthy photo-ops? Pumpkin Nights in the Pomona Fairplex is the new IT event for Halloween themed activities for all. The event ends early November so there is plenty of time to attend. Did I also mention, I have a Pumpkin Nights promo code available for this years event! Scroll to the bottom for pricing & code to save you so dollas! 🤑

Pumpkin Nights 2018

What is Pumpkin Nights & Where is it Located?

Let’s start with the location, Pumpkin Nights has several locations throughout the US including Denver, CO , Salt Lake City, UT , Auburn, CA and Los Angeles, CA . I live in LA so of course I attended the Pumpkin Nights location at the Pomona Fairplex home of the LA fair and other amazing conventions; perfect location for this very unique event.

This event is basically a small family fair-style with food, drinks, entertainment, small pumpkin patch and 1 huge maze with 8 different IG worthy sections. So if you’re like me, wanting to get your IG pictures and experience everything LA has to offer, this is the spot for you. When you first walk in you think the event is very small but the Maze and pumpkin themes are location in the far left away from view. So don’t get discouraged. There is tons to see & it is family friendly! 🎃

It very eerily reminds me of LA Zoo Lights and it’s first years. Based off my experience of LA Zoo lights (bad lighting but amazing experience), I knew I wanted to go right at opening time (5pm) reason #1 to beat sundown and get my good IG pictures and reason #2 less foot traffic/little humans. My friends and I were supper happy to have gone at 5pm because once we were done with the maze and the sun had set, the foot traffic was ridiculous! So trust me when I say, buy your tickets for slots between 5pm – 730pm if you want to avoid people in your pictures and/or just want to enjoy the maze with less foot traffic. Trust me it still looks amazing in daylight.

What the Heck is the Maze ?

Pumpkin Nights has a sort of walk-thru maze with 8 different sections all with different themes such as pumpkin hall/Harry potter, Coco Inspired section, pirate cove, dragon lair ect. At the start of the maze, you are giving a quest where you are asked to find 1 symbol in each section. This symbol then translates to 1 letter and at the end of the maze you provide this phrase to the wizard and collect a prize. Very cute and interactive IMO but I will not say any more about this so if you decide to visit, you can experience this yourself.

So What Else Do They Have?

Good question. Besides the interactive maze and pre mentioned food and drinks they also have “fire” dancers (I did not witness) but also hula hoop dancers (witnessed). There is a section where you can get face painting for free Kids and adults if that’s your thing. Half way through the maze they also have a screening of Disney’s Pixar Coco showing on a projector, very cool and talented pumpkin carving section (purchase available) and towards the end of the maze, there is a fun play section with seesaws, tetherball, corn hole and plenty of Hula hoops to play with.

But The Most Important Question, Is There Alcohol?

Why yes there is! Thank goodness 😝 Right when you walk in you see the Beer and Wine truck. Pumpkin Nights serves a short list of domestic and imported beer, wine and micheladas. Prices vary between each drink but they are your standard slightly over priced $6-10 dollar drinks. Huge con, this is the ONLY location with alcohol so stock up my dears. If you begin your trip through the maze and want to grab a refill, you will need to leave the maze and come all the way back to the front. Bummer I know. Clearly I only bought one because I was not going to lose my lighting over a 10 dollar beer 😝
