Is it gray pant season yet? darn
In the 2020 wfh era, I have seen a huge shift in clothing styles as we continue to spend more time quarantined. More brands are starting to expand their women’s loungewear, mens activewear and overall practical clothing. Why not spend the day juggling house duties in between work meetings in amazingly comfortable yet fashionable activewear? Sold, sign me up!
I won’t lie, I get very excited for online shopping. However, as I was starting my search, I realized JD has a small collection of mens activewear. He is a very simple man when it comes to his clothes and almost dislikes shopping for himself. I took it upon myself to find him good quality and comfortable mens activewear to use during quarantine and wfh.
eco-friendly and locally made.
JD and I are trying to be more eco-friendly and reduce, reuse and recycle more often. As baby steps, I’m looking at purchasing more American and locally made products. In my search for high-quality mens activewear I came across Willy California, their name really stuck out to me. All their clothing is designed and made in Los Angeles and they also partner with local factories for production. The similarities in the founders of Willy California and JD sold me, busy men that want to get dressed and just go.
JD’s style for clothing is usually some type of shirt with a pair of Levi’s. He isn’t great at coordinating or matching his outfits and always has to ask for a second and third opinion. I decide to get him a coordinating set of mens activewear to make it easier for him. The our California winter around the corner, I figured a dusty navy blue long sleeve pullover and the coordinating track pants would be the perfect items. I refuse to gift JD gray pants and you know why!

The day finally arrives when I receive the Willy California package in the mail. JD was unaware of my gift so I gave him the box to open as a surprise. I really caught him off guard since I don’t purchase clothing for him too often. We both really loved the dusty blue color of both the track pants and pullover.
it’s the details that count
One of the great things we noticed as we both admired the set was the eco-friendly rip-off tags, easy to remove tags, and of course the high quality fabric. JD quickly put it on for a quick size check and both items fit perfectly. I was a bit scared the set would not fit JD but I got lucky with the track pants in size M and pullover in a L.
There is a big difference between fast fashion and clothes designed with a purpose. I noticed all pockets in the Willy California 502 pull over and 402 track pants had zippers which JD absolutely loved. The pullover pocket is one large pocket connected from the left to right allowing for larger items to be stored without pocket size restriction; a very thoughtful design for men. Overall JD and I are both very satisfied with Willy California. The quality of the clothes is really great and we are happy to know it will last us a long time.
Looks like a comfy outfit I bet my husband would love something like this. I will check it out for one of his Christmas presents.
