Who or what is TAHNYC ?
Last month I received the opportunity to work with TAHNYC, a small indie brand pronounced tonic, who focuses on conscious clean beauty. Let me tell you the products I received had me jumping up and down with excitement, the same feeling when you receive an online order a day early. Tahnyc beauty really proves itself to be a powerful and healthy skincare brand without the harmful chemicals: they are all-natural and used on sensitive skin like rosacea.
Why is customized skincare important?
When I was a young girl (I’m not old, just older) I hardly ever invested time or money into my skin care routine. I was super freaking lucky to have great skin growing up and as an adult, I continued to be blessed with very minimal issues — slightly visible laugh lines, oily T zone and clogged nose pores once in a blue moon. Then I turned 26 and everything changed, my nose pores turned HUGE and my laugh lines deepened. I can really thank myself for these issues because I didn’t think my skin would ever need some TLC until i reached 40. Boy was I wrong😥. Looking back, the best piece of advice I can give anyone is to make sure you have a customized skin care routine. When I say customized I really mean finding and using products that fit your skin type.
When you visit Tahnyc’s website you answer a survey that helps filter and provide the most accurate skincare in order to target your issues. The amazing thing about Tahnyc beauty is the fast results you receive after using their products. After using Tahnyc for the first time, skin felt so supple and had such a lovely glow the following morning. After I continued my Tahnyc beauty routine, I saw my skin tone even and my fine lines fade ever so slightly– how freaking exciting!

Now on to more info on the actual Tahnyc beauty products. After providing more information about my skin type and problem areas, I happily tested their Bespoke Set that has a 4 step skincare routine.
Bespoke Set: Cleanse, Mist, Correct & hydrate
Nº 1 CLEANSE (4fl.oz)
Gentle Micellar Cleanser that looks and almost feels like regular water. But when you rub that shit on your full layered glam af makeup, that shit works miracles. Excuse my french but honestly, this cleanser works like magic. I have found that I prefer to use it like an oil cleanser. I pour some on my palm and rub it all over my face and within seconds my makeup is no more.
Nº 2 MIST (.67fl.oz)
Calming Face Mist was a fast absorbing mist that preps the skin for moisture. I have never been into face mists until I used a cucumber and rose water from Marshall’s and I was hooked. It’s such a nice step to have specially for dry skin or all types during summer– when the skin dehydrates faster. You can even use this step after you apply your makeup for a dewy look and hydrating all-day feel.

Concentrated Corrective Complex has a terrible pump lol. Had to mention it 😜 but aside from that, the serum is very runny so be careful when applying. I really think this step is the one responsible for the supple and radiant look of my skin. This particular step (according to their site) will tone, brighten, smooth and even out skin tone and wrinkles.
Nº 4 HYDRATE (.67fl.oz)
Molecular Moisturizer that hydrates but does not feel heavy or clogs pores. Trust me ladies my pores are huge so I notice when they get clogged. This particular moisturizer also minimized the oily T zone I sometimes get. A little goes a long long way. I learned that the first time after I pumped one too many drops of moisturizer.
Don’t let the size of the bottles fool you, they pack a punch and are long lasting. I used mine for about a month and a half before almost running out 😭. Tahnyc beauty does not come cheap and their 3 product Essentials set comes at a whopping $48 USD. But when you are looking to nurture and care for your skin, sometimes the price tag is not an issue. Tahnyc beauty also manufactures their products in a small batch inside the USA and is not tested on animals. This is another reason for their high price tag. Nevertheless, I do recommend anyone who has sensitive skin to check out Tahnyc and review their site for additional information. This might just be the brand and product that restores your faith in skincare.
