My Current Style Obsession

Button-up your trousers lady and gents. I am back! (blame Downtown Abbey). I took a day off last Thursday when I was feeling uninspired and then left my charger at the office and my Macbook died #FirstWorldProblems. I need to buy a spare. Any suggestions? 🤔 So clearly, I missed 2 days last week 😫 *cue ugly cry* but it’s alright. It doesn’t matter if or how you fail, what matters is how you come back from it. And here I am, I am not discouraged I am going to continue on.

Today I will talk about my most current and favorite Spring/Summer style, front button-up everything. Specifically button-up dresses and 2 piece sets, they are super cute and my favorite thing to wear right now for Spring and upcoming Summer. They work perfectly as a day dress and can easily be transitioned into night time by throwing on a pair of heels. I want to share with you some of my favorite items ranging from all price points.

Button-Up Dresses and 2 Piece Sets

There is something about a midi dress that makes me feel sophisticated and well put together. My love life may be going up in flames, my friends may be MIA, my dog probably has dingleberries, but as soon as I put on a midi dress, all that goes away. Of course, none of that is happening in my life right now haha. But the point I am trying to make is, no matter if you are having a bad day, bad week or bad year, the right outfit more specifically the right dress can change all that even if for an hour.

I often shop online and since I do it frequently, I thought I could share with you my favorite button-up midi dresses and 2 piece sets I found. Surprise surprise, some of these styles are in accordance to my easy-to-wear Summer styles , stripes and off-the-shoulder. Let’s dive in to my list:

Midi dresses can easily be dressed up or down which makes them super versatile. I prefer mine in dark colors but I don’t mind bright colors here and there. If you’re looking to invest in a dress or set, I would suggest a color you can wear in all seasons. Black, nude or navy may or may not be your go-to color but it can easily be a transition piece between Summer and Fall 2018.

Patterned dresses or stripes are a bit harder to transition into nighttime but my tip for you is to layer. Wearing the right jacket with any print can transition your day dress/set flawlessly into nighttime lounge attire (as long as you are wearing the right shoes). Usually structured jackets or denim will do the trick. BAM. You’re ready to continue slaying the day.
